Despite the growing number of cosmetic preparations and mechanical treatment methods used in the beauty salon, the manual facial massage is still a highly regarded form of treatment.
Among the different varieties of the classical facial massage, the Charlotte Meentzen System is of particular importance. In 1930 Charlotte Meentzen - one of the pioneers of modern cosmetics - developed this massage system which consists of a series of easy-to-apply and cosmetically effective massaging techniques.
This massage system became highly popular and is still taught today - either as a complete massage or as a separate technique used in other facials.
